RE: need help deciding on sport quad

why would they extend a warranty unless they knew beforehand they were selling a POS?
It's usually the other way around, if the manufacturers know it is junk or possibly going to be really abused (raced) the manufacturers WON'T offer an extended warranty for FREE.

RE: need help deciding on sport quad

For 2009 Arctic Cat has a 300 sport model but I am sure with a little looking you can find a left over 400 and save a little money to boot. Also you get a 2 year warranty, which I don't think any other Brand will give you at this time.

RE: need help deciding on sport quad

Check out the Arctic Cats too, they do make a Great Quad as well (I KNOW THIS FROM EXPERIENCE)..... Be open minded and see for yourself, many of us here always push our own opinions on brand, style, etc. I now own a Honda, Arctic Cat and a Yamaha, there once was a time I would only ride or recommend a Honda till I lived a little

RE: Tires

Couldn't beat the price of the Grizzly, 600 miles on it with a 2500 lb warn winch, new plow and salt spreader all never used and the tires are new as well. Just put a new battery in the machine, it runs pretty warm compared to my other atv's but from what I read and hear they all (Grizzlies) run hot. The fan works perfectly on the machine too.

RE: Charging volts on a 99 Yam Grizzly 600

OK here is the info, charged the battery and two days later it was 10 volts, so I pull started the quad and the reading was 13 volts so I figure it is the battery, so I bought a new battery. All seems well for now.

RE: Charging volts on a 99 Yam Grizzly 600

Thanks for the replies, I figured it to be around there for the voltage, I am on my way to get a voltage meter, I think I just need a new battery but better safe than sorry if the charging system has a problem.

RE: Who Makes the Best ATV and who makes the WORST

Mine starts in cold weather, in upstate NY where I am with mine -20 is sometimes the norm sometimes less, yea the whole thing about no choke I would like one but the thing they are using seems to work I guess, kind of like a primer, I have never had to use it yet just grind her a few seconds and she jumps to life. It starts about as easy as my Hondas that have chokes. I use Stabile in all my fuel all year long, it helps with condensation in fuel, that could be the problem with folks that have problems starting. ??????
Hope this helps.

RE: Arctic Cat 366.

Skip the 366 get the 400. I have one and it appears to be a big machine but get it on the trail and it is suprisingly very very nimble. And I ride in big rock country, it also has low range and a locker as standard equipment.
